JC holds successful Local World Open

On April 13-15, Jonathan Club hosted the Local World Open presented by Aristotle which offered $25,000 in prize money and featured 16 Professional Players from the US, Canada and Europe. Georgina Stoker was the highest ranked at # 3 in the world, Lauren West # 6, Victoria Simmonds # 9 and Julie Cerullo #10. The local team of Ivy Pochoda & Chloe Blacker took on Jaime Laird & Jackie Moss from Canada in a qualification match with the Canadian team emerging victorious. After 3 days of very competitive action, Nikki Todd and Katie Tutrone beat the #1 seeds in the semi final and claimed the title by narrowly beating Victoria Simmonds and Julie Cerullo who were the #2 seeds. In conjunction with the Women’s Pro Draw there was a Pro Am Draw with 3 separate skill level divisions and 20 teams in total. Local players Vijay Prasad and his partner won the B Division and Lauren Todt and her partner won the C Division.
