PlayLA kicks off 2023 with gusto!

The PlayLA Youth Squash Program, a joint effort between SoCal Squash, US Squash, and the City of Los Angeles’s Department of Parks and Recreation, held its first weekly clinic for the year in early January at Chevy Chase Rec Center. Leveraging existing outdoor handball courts at public parks, the PlayLA program is introducing kids to equal-access squash in Southern California. A dedicated team of volunteer instructors drawn from the local adult and junior squash community, are engaging local neighborhoods in an inspiring lead-up to the LA 2028 Summer Olympics. The PlayLA program is in need of more volunteers! Anyone interested in participating can reach out to Board member Molly Sakahara.
