Two public squash courts in the works in La Jolla!

Greg Scherman of San Diego has been working for two years to bring public squash to La Jolla. La Jolla’s Rec Center Visioning Committee has approved this design, and the San Diego City Council approval is expected later this year. According to Greg: "We need to raise at least $1.5M from the community in order for the project to be built. The Friends of La Jolla Recreation Center is a nonprofit organization that accepts tax deductible donations for this purpose. We are reaching out to the squash community at large to support this endeavor as this would be the first public squash courts on the West Coast. We expect that this design will showcase the viability of public courts and inspire more public courts to be built in Southern California and across the State."
